Stand Firm

Stand Firm

2024 is poised to be one of the most volatile in U.S. history. This is true particularly because 2024 is an election year with two candidates unlike any in our history.  We now have an entrenched deep state and a corrupted justice system and media.  The Left has taken a “Never Trump” stand, and will go to ANY lengths to ensure he does not get elected.  Big Tech has enormous power and influence … and is part of The Left.  We also face AI, TikTok, CRT, DEI, war in Europe and the Middle East, and a potential war with China over Taiwan. I could go on.  And I’m sure you could add many to this list.  So, dear fellow Christian, how should we think and behave considering the above?

New Year's Resolution

NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION

Happy New Year….again!  It is just another year; another month, right?  It is 2024 and it is January.  January is a month that most of us dread.  What is “happy” about January?  January is long.  It can be cold.  It can be dark.  There could be an El Niño winter with above average temperatures and precipitation (in the form of snow).  Some of us might enjoy the time and brief season of restoration.  It is a season to hibernate and to rest before the coming business and excitement of spring.  It is a time to set goals, to plan, to resolve to incorporate changes and perhaps fresh, new behaviors into our lives.

Global Faith

2023 Year-End Recap from Dr. Mark Christian

For over twelve years, Global Faith has been raising awareness about the dangers of political Islam to our country and the world. Unfortunately, the predictions I’ve made over the years are coming true. It has infiltrated our schools, government, and churches. The Muslim Brotherhood and its subsidiaries—CAIR, ISNA, and MSA—are growing stronger every day. As a result, among other things, antisemitism is on the rise. The excellent news is that people are finally starting to pay attention! I am busier than ever, speaking to organizations and media outlets nationwide. GFI’s mission has never been more important or needed.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving

It is November and the season of Thanksgiving.  A time of harvest, family gatherings and pumpkin pie, without a doubt.  But, I have to ask; what are you most thankful for and to whom are you thanking?  Would it be an above average harvest, a good report from your doctor, employment, warm November weather or a winning football team?  Or, perhaps a new grandchild, a prodigal returned or a spouse healed from addiction.  These are all temporal blessings and we ought to be thankful for them for sure.  In this writing, however, I will attempt to paint a more eternal picture of what “Thanksgiving” is all about.

Acts of depravity - Hamas and Israel War

Acts of Depravity

I write just 10 days after Hamas attacked civilians in Israel. The depth of the brutality and inhumanity of the Hamas attackers is unthinkable. Incomprehensible. No words can describe the attack. Since these acts are perhaps the most depraved I’ve ever observed, they make me think of the Biblical doctrine of total depravity. It states that since the transgression of Adam and Eve, all mankind is born in a state of sin, “dead in their transgressions and sins” (Ephesians 2:1)…

Corrie Ten Boom especially personifies perseverance.

Perseverance

PERSEVERANCE … Somehow we “persevere” through failed relationships, snarled traffic, long lines at the grocery store and even repeated losing seasons by our favorite college football team.  Sure we can hire a new coach, play games on our phones to pass time, honk our horns in frustration, get divorced and remarry.  These are examples of problems we all face every day and our general, human attempt to solve them.  But do they truly require perseverance?  What would we do if our lives were truly on the line?
