Monday, a bus loaded with Egyptians returning from a wedding celebration was destroyed in a bizarre train accident, killing at least 26.

What wasn’t mentioned in the article? This was a Christian wedding.

How or why would a bus be in a position to get hit by an oncoming train, when the crossing was locked? According to Hussein Zakaria, the head of Egypt’s railway authority, “The crossing was closed with chains, there were warning lights.” Yes, Egypt’s railways have an abhorrent safety record, but is it simply coincidence that this was a bus full of Christians at a time when Christian persecution in Egypt is at an all-time high? We hope the truth will be revealed, but even then, we wonder who will be made to bear the consequence.”
