Politically correct behavior is fast becoming the bane of modern societies worldwide. After decades of incessant screeching from the Left about the sins of Western Civilization, we have permitted the pendulum to swing so far to the opposite side as to constitute a form of societal suicide.
Shame is a tool society has long used to manage aberrant or anti-social behavior, until those who felt the sting of shame – due to the spotlight having been placed squarely on their own peccadilloes – turned the concept around to shame the shamers, casting those who hold traditional values as the true bigots and aberrant of society.
The end result? Those who are largely immune to shame, the sociopathic and aggressively agenda-driven, become inoculated against criticism, having succeeded in making criticism itself a one-way street.
In this climate of self-censorship, evil intent finds a get-out-of-jail free card. In Great Britain, where the self-censorship has grown teeth in the form of laws against “hate speech” and “racism,” even the guardians of public safety have retreated from the fight.
As seen in the short video, the police and their elected superiors abdicated their responsibility to protect their own citizens from the predations of twisted men acting contrary to the laws and norms of their adopted nation while shielding themselves behind a fig leaf of religious tolerance.
Muslim grooming gangs kidnapped, raped and turned to prostitution hundreds of underage white British girls in the city of Rotherham. All under the noses of the social workers, the governing council and the police, who later tried to justify their silence with weak bleatings about not wanting to be accused of “racism.”
For 16 years the police ran interference for the forced sexual slavery of the young daughters of their own city, in one instance arresting a distraught father for attempting to rescue his early-teen daughter from the brothel where she was drugged and forced to service all comers for 12 hours a day.
We used to sneer and giggle at the foolish nonsense of the speech police, laughing at the idiocy of insisting on the use of politically correct verbiage. It’s not a joke anymore.
Political correctness is intellectual fascism, a scheme to wrest the power of thought from the individual and to vest it in the collective. It creates walls behind which favored minorities – Muslim, Gay, Black, etc. – can engage in destructive anti-social criminality with virtual impunity.
Watch the video and understand that this is the world as the Left sees it. This is the inevitable conclusion to the series of mistakes and misapprehensions known as “progressivism.” When you seek to control another’s thoughts rather than to persuade them to your way of thinking, you create, by necessity, a tyranny that values some groups over others…even to the point of enabling evil.
Britain is but a few steps further down the same path we are following here in America. Our future is on display and unless we make some dramatic changes soon, it is a distinctly dark one indeed.
