HELL – The Greatest Monument to Human Freedom!

God does not send people to hell.  He is simply carrying out the sentence imposed from the seat of judgment.  Therefore, how are we to be judged?

I’ve heard people who were thought to know about the God-man, Jesus Christ, and to have been followers of The Christ say, “I believe that I am free (in my sin) when I speak of my sin”.  To paraphrase, humankind has ‘justified’ their own sinful nature and self-centeredness by believing a lie when they speak “freely” of their sin.  For example; there are those who believe that they are FREE when they come out of the closet or publicly celebrate their sin.  This lie and line of thinking will, in truth, ultimately become a life sentence.  And when this occurs it is like making God in our image and making ourselves out to be God.  Lest it is not clear, let me say, all of mankind is sinful from birth.  All of mankind is sinful in the same sin as Adam and Eve.  This has been true throughout all creation.  Consider the practices of the first century churches at Ephesus and Pergamum and their teaching of the Nicolaitans.  This is a sin that the Most High hates, as is written in Revelation, Chapter 2.  It continues even to today.

How God is Planning to Eradicate Evil - Churches of Revelation

Interestingly, all men and women are born with the innate understanding between ‘good’ and ‘evil’; between what is ‘right’ and what is ‘wrong’.  And yet, by free will, choose to disobey.  The Creator made Adam and commanded him, “You are FREE to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must NOT eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die”.  Of course, we know that Eve chose to eat from the tree and then also gave some to Adam and he too ate the forbidden fruit.  Knowing that they had broken God’s command, they hid from the Lord.  Why hide?  We know innately that when we sin, we violate the commands of God and are only serving the flesh and not the Spirit of God.

We know that sin entered the world and man fell.  The fellowship with God was broken when man elected (by his own FREE will) to disobey the Lord.  Man knew, but FREELY made himself out to be like God by believing the lie told him by Satan.  Seems pretty hopeless.  But thanks be to God that He sent His Son, Jesus, as the only atoning sacrifice for all of our sins.  Romans 11:32 says, “God has bound ALL MEN over to disobedience so that He might have mercy on them all.  So, even in our sin, Jesus Christ came to save those that would believe and follow Him.

Forfeit your sinful nature and put your faith in Him.  In the very beginning of Jesus’s ministry, he says, “Repent for the Kingdom of God is near”.  There it is.  Believe. Repent. Confess. Turn.

The Kingdom of God is near.  Jesus is coming.  Will you be ready?
